Essie

Essie was bred and raised in the University of Florida Equine Sciences program. She was part of the student training program, where she learned her manners and basic training and was saddle started by university students.

While Boo was earning her MBA and playing Division I lacrosse at UF, she also volunteered to clean stalls and feed the horses. Boo and Essie fell in love. In May 2026, we were able to purchase Essie, known at UF as “Hot for Certain” ↗, through UF’s “Sale in the Swamp”. A few weeks later, she made the cross-country trip to Reno, where she continues her training.

Essie is a true performance horse, a confident mare with the sweetest disposition, and a wonderful all-around addition to our herd.
